Myth and the cultural history of the tree forms the background of this cycle, which specifically shows types of bark. Idealised structures are developped, matrices of nature, which remove d from their natural context, engender an irritating autonomy and abstraction. Seen from the front the objectified pictures executed in the form of a relief in mixed media, from the side appearing as sections from the trunk.
